Bulani Weerawardane
Research Analyst
Bulani Weerawardane is an Attorney-at-Law at the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka and a Research Analyst at Verité Research. Her research interests include international trade, public procurement, and corruption.
She holds an LL.B from the University of London (Second Upper Honors) and earned a First Class at Sri Lanka Law College, where she ranked first in order of merit in the Preliminary Year. She completed her apprenticeship at the Attorney General’s Department of Sri Lanka. Bulani also holds a BA (Hons) in Economics from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, where she received the Dr. Tissa Rajapaksha Gold Medal for excellence in Monetary Economics.
Her publications explore policy and regulatory challenges shaping Sri Lanka’s economic landscape, informing public debate and reform efforts. She has presented her work at public forums, including events with the Delegation of the European Union and Sri Lanka’s Committee on Public Finance (COPF).
