Dr. Malathy Knight is an economist with extensive expertise in public policy. Her specific areas of expertise include new institutional economics, telecommunications policy and regulation, privatisation, and public enterprise reform. Dr. Knight previously served as the Head of the Industry, Public Enterprise Reform, and Regulatory Policy Research Unit at the Institute of Policy Studies (IPS) and as a Research Director at Verité Research. She holds a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from Swarthmore College, USA and a PhD in Economics and Development Studies from the University of Manchester, UK.
