Kaumini Mapa co-leads Ethics Eye, an online platform that flags ethical violations in the Sinhala press. 

She is also involved in administrative work related to other platforms maintained by Verité Media, namely The Divide, FactCheck.lk and The Media Analysis. 

Her research interests include media ethics on minorities, and feminist journalism. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the University of Colombo in 2023, and is currently pursuing an advanced diploma in French language.
