Portia Kemps has a BA (Hons) in Economics from the University of Peradeniya and a Masters of Data Analytics from the University of Kelaniya.

Prior to Verité Research, she worked as temporary lecturer at the Department of Economics and Statistics, University of Peradeniya.

Her research interests include on poverty, vulnerability, perception analysis and gender issues. 

She is also a member of the Global Shapers Colombo Hub- an initiative of the World Economic Forum.
