Raj specializes in macroeconomic analysis and policy advice on Sri Lanka’s economic conditions. His expertise encompasses public finance, macroeconomics, and debt sustainability, particularly in Sri Lanka’s ongoing economic crisis.

Raj holds a BSc in Economics and Management from the University of London, UK, graduating with first-class honors. He has been instrumental in developing a novel financial instrument, “Governance Linked Bonds” which is a first of its kind. His research has been central to shaping strategic recommendations for navigating the complexities of Sri Lanka’s economic landscape. Raj’s significant publications include studies on public finance, taxation, debt management, and governance. 

He has presented his findings extensively at international conferences and seminars and provided expert commentary for various media outlets. As the leader of a team of researchers at Verité Research, Raj continues to contribute to evidence-based economic analysis and policy solutions.
